Cinnamon Roll Cookies

Cinnamon Swirled Snickerdoodle Cookies!

Frosted cookies on serving platter.

I’m in love with these swirled cookies.

I’d seen tons of versions of “Cinnamon Roll Cookies” online, each with their own flare. But I wanted to create something bolder, and more fun!

These cinnamon swirls are hand-piped, making them a great project if you’re baking with kids, feeling a bit artsy, or just want to try something new!

It’s super easy to do, and practice makes perfect.

Soft Baked Cinnamon Cookies with a Vanilla Glaze

I like to wait until the cookies are almost completely cooled to add my glaze, it doesn’t quick transfer to adding frosting to warm cinnamon buns!

I also like being able to see the swirl through the frosting drizzles.

It might be fun to try adding more milk to your frosting and making it more like a glaze; or try a mix of both!

The cookies are also perfectly delicious without any frosting, letting the sparkly swirl shine!

Cookie with bite taken out.

These cookies are absolutely divine–the texture is snickerdoodle-like, but the flavor is more buttery and rich.

So indulgent and fun to make, I can’t wait for you to try these!

Notes

*To make these cookies vegan, use vegan butter sticks (I like country crock), dairy-free milk, and in place of an egg, 1 flax egg (1 tbsp flaxseed mixed with 3 tbsp water; let sit for 5 minutes to thicken) or 1/4 cup applesauce.
